Long Poses

First time I've used pastel in a while, but I had a lot of fun with it. Sorry about the poor quality of the photos but expect more pastel work in the future.

Kafka's, The Metamorphosis

11x17 inches, Done in clay board. I'm pretty happy with the finish, I think the medium worked well with the tone of the story.

Recent ones

Working on making my drawings quicker and more concise. Trying a dried out marker for half tones.
One of the rare times I get to draw a face straight on, she was way too interested in her phone to notice me.

High Price - Mediocre Coffee

Where else would I be but Starbucks. Took my bike over early this morning and drew some faces of people enjoying their coffee and trying to look cool while hunched over their macbooks. Now for an afternoon skate at Chelsea Piers. Enjoy.

Intro

I forgot to actually introduce myself and this blog. I'm Andy Waller and I am a second year illustration student at The Fashion Institute of Technology. I have finally succumbed to productivity and made myself a place where I can post my work. I'll normally be posting a lot of drawings out of my sketch book and maybe some finished pieces if they're up to my standards. I hope you enjoy and thanks for checking it out.

Winter Work

I've decided I'm not posting any old work so these pieces are from my winter break. The sketches are from my time in Long Island, Mexico and California, mostly of any family member that would sit for me and any good samaritan who was kind enough to unknowingly stay still for me.
